MIL-STD-129M, MILITARY STANDARD: MARKING FOR SHIPMENT AND STORAGE (PART 1 OF 4 PARTS) (15 JUN 1993)., This standard provides the minimum requirements for the uniform marking of military supplies and equipment for shipment and storage. It accommodates the requirements for movement processing as specified in DOD 4000.25-1-M, Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP); DOD 4000.25-2-M, Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Accounting Procedures (MILSTRAP); and DOD 4500.32-R, Military Standard Transportation and Movement procedures (MILSTAMP).

【摘要】:Manynationalandinternationalregulationsclassifyliquidsaspresentingaflammablehazardonthebasisoftheirflashpoint,asdeterminedbyarecognizedmethod.Someoftheseregulationsallowaderogationifthesubstancecannot"sustaincombustion"atsomespecifiedtemperatureortemperatures.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesapass/failproceduretodeterminewhetherornotaliquidproduct,thatwouldbeclassifiedas"flammable"byvirtueofitsflashpoint,hastheabilitytosustaincombustionatthetemperatureortemperaturesspecifiedintheappropriateregulations.NOTE1IntheUnitedNationsRecommendationsontheTransportofDangerousGoods,temperaturesof60,5℃and75,0℃arespecified.Theprocedureisapplicabletopaints(includingwater-bornepaints),varnishes,paintbinders,solvents,petroleumorrelatedproductsandadhesives,whichhaveaflashpoint.Itisnotapplicabletopaintedsurfacesinrespectofassessingtheirpotentialfirehazards.NOTE2Thistestmethodcanbeusedinadditiontothetestmethodforflashpointinassessingthefirehazardofaproduct.Particularcareneedstobetakenintranslatingresultsfromsmall-scaleteststolarge-scale(real-life)situations,asliquidsinlargequantitiesmaynotbehaveinthesamewayassmallsamplesbecausegeometryandthesurface-to-volumeratioaffectratesofheattransferandevaporationfromthesurface.
